For this new PS 2012 collection Ikea asked its designers to search for inspiration in more than 60 years of Ikea design history. However, instead of just simply looking back the designers were challenged to bring the designs forward by updating and innovating forms, functions, materials and sustainability while keeping Ikea’s mantra in mind, namely keeping design affordable for everybody.
I love IKEA! I wish we had it here in the Philippines! I have to go to Singapore or Hong Kong just to shop there.
Cool post! I really love some of the Ikea pieces you shared. Do you know any of the names? I’m especially interested in the photo that is about mid-way down the post, directly after the video of the guy in the purple shirt and above the picture with the kiddie tricycle outside…do you happen to know the name of that piece?
