Tattoo’s

For those of you know personally know me know I have a semi-secret love of tattoos – and now the rest of you know too! I have one in solid turquoise, and am always up in a debate of if i will get another and what it will be. I have 2 small one’s in mind that I might get someday.. so stay tuned. But no really it will be a few years.. but you can still stay tuned :) I am very opinionated when it comes to tattoo’s. This is my problem: I really do not like tattoos that are outlined in black it seem like it is a coloring book image or you are in the 1st grade and need to have thick black lines to help you know where to color. Now I am not against shading and contrast… dont get me wrong.. I just dont want to pay lots of money for a tattoo that looks like a kid outlined it in sharpie first.

So in saying all that, you can realize how happy I was to find Amanda Wachob on {frolic} today! Amanda Wachob has been tattooing since 1998 and currently works in NYC. She pushes the boundaries of the tattoo medium to blur the line between fine art and body art.

I also really love this one, and yeah it is in all black – but in this case one solid color is what is best. It is more natural and real to life to have a signature in black.

Francis, dad of two little girls, had his girls names (Lucy & Orla) tattooed on his forearm. I think that this is great, it looks quite classy!
